Walk as children of light."

Our Mission

Light of Christ Fellowship illuminates the Gallatin Valley with Christ's love by sharing His Gospel, building authentic community, and serving our neighbors with compassion. We are a welcoming community of believers where individuals and families can explore their faith, connect with others, and serve the Bozeman-Four Corners  community. We offer blended worship services, engaging sermons, and programs for groups of all ages.

Who Are We

Light of Christ Fellowship is a traditional conservative Lutheran based Christian fellowship of believers. We worship God the Father, Our Creator; Jesus Christ, His Son, Our Redeemer; and the Holy Spirit, Our Sanctifier and Enlightener.

We are called “Lutheran” because we accept and teach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Church in the 16th Century.

We are a "Confessional" congregation, which means we hold to the Lutheran Confessions as a correct interpretation and presentation of Biblical doctrine. Collected in The Book of Concord: The Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church are statements of belief that were put into writing by church leaders during the 16th century. (The simplest of these is Luther's Small Catechism.) The Augsburg Confession gives more detail on what Lutherans believe.

Why We Exist

Light of Christ Fellowship is founded on the Word and Sacraments, standing firm on the Lutheran Confessions in a church family that is praying, loving, growing, and focused on reaching out with the Gospel to meet the needs of people.

Our purpose is to give honor and glory to God; to carry out His will; to manifest the unity of our faith in Jesus Christ as God and Savior; to spread the kingdom of God; and to foster Christian fellowship and love by the preaching of the Word of God, by the administration of the Sacraments, and by the religious instruction of all its members. We fulfill this calling through gathering in worship, service to our community, individual and group study of scripture and instruction of our children. We are but one family in the larger Body of Christ.

In the gospel we meet a God who has acted decisively in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus to redeem and restore people to Himself. Jesus lives the life we could not live, dies the death that we deserve to die, and is raised from the dead and revealed to be the King over all creation. This was no arbitrary event in history; it is the decisive moment. The gospel tells the whole story of Biblical history and how God has acted decisively in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus to redeem the world for His glory. Preaching the gospel means showing how Jesus is the fulfillment and goal of every biblical text.
